The new Tot Lot and Learning Garden in Yerba Buena Children’s Gardens is now open! This exciting new addition at YBG provides a fun, safe and creative play space for curious little ones in search of adventure and learning.
A family-friendly celebration opened then new garden
This family-friendly garden, which was designed and built by the Moscone Expansion Project, was celebrated in an opening ceremony that featured a performance by the Red Panda Acrobats and a release of ladybugs to christen the space.

A stimulating environment of imagination for tots
The new Tot Lot is now open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
It features play structures for pint size imaginations surrounded by the Learning Garden’s trees, flowers and lush landscaping. There are also ample places to sit and park strollers.
There’s even an interactive, hands-on area for educating children about the seasonal life cycle of a garden that fosters sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. A team of YBG Garden Guides will involve children in gardening, crafts, music and story hour, tours of the Garden, and holiday-themed activities.

All about kids, fun and families
A schedule of activities at the Learning Garden will soon be in place and will be posted on this website.
