Yerba Buena Gardens is a public park with rolling gardens, art, dining, ice skating and bowling, and nearby shopping.

Admission to Yerba Buena Gardens is free.

Yerba Buena Gardens is open daily from 6:00 AM–10:00 PM

Visitor Info

Take SFMTA to the new Yerba Buena / Moscone station. Or take BART to either Powell or Montgomery station.

The Caltrain Station at Fourth and Townsend is served directly by MUNI’s 30 Stockton, with stops on Third Street at Howard and at Mission. Yerba Buena Gardens is also convenient to Golden Gate Transit, SamTrans and AC Transit downtown bus routes.

The Yerba Buena Gardens Management Office is located on the second level, just across from the Metreon and adjacent to the Howard Street pedestrian bridge.

We love pets but doggone it, they are not allowed within Yerba Buena Gardens. Please look for construction of a brand new “doglet” at the corner of Folsom and 3rd Streets. Coming: Spring 2023. We do welcome ADA-qualified service animals. Click the button below for a list of dog play areas in San Francisco. Of course, walking your pet almost anywhere in our great city is a tail-wagging treat.

Plan an Event

You may take as many snapshots as you wish. However, commercial photo shoots and any photography that involves a tripod, lighting, models, or extra crew requires a photo shoot permit. In order to obtain a permit, proof of insurance is required. Learn more about Permits + Fees at our Plan an Event page.

Any item found at Yerba Buena Gardens is logged and stored in the security office which is located in the YBG Management Office. If you have lost or found an item and would like to report or inquire about it, please call us at 415-651-3684 or write to info@ybgardens.org.
