Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial
The vision of peace and international unity is enshrined in this memorial featuring a majestic waterfall and shimmering glass panels inscribed with Dr. King’s inspiring words, poems and images from the civil rights movement. Artist and sculptor, Houston Conwill, created this memorial in collaboration with poet Estella Conwill Majoza and architect Joseph De Pace.
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts
Yerba Buena Center for the Arts was founded in 1993 out of the need for an accessible, high-profile San Francisco venue devoted to contemporary visual art, performance, and film/video representing diverse cultural and artistic perspectives.
LeRoy King Carousel at Children’s Creativity Museum
A historic treasure built in 1906 by renowned craftsman Charles Looff, the LeRoy King Carousel is fully restored and once again provides classic rides for all ages. It’s open every day and is only $3 to ride with a paid museum admission.
Children’s Creativity Museum
The Children’s Creativity Museum is a community-based art and technology museum serving youth and families in the Bay Area and beyond. With a mission to foster creativity in young people, the museum provides high quality, interactive experiences using art, media and technology tools to ignite the imagination and inspire lifelong learning.
Ice Skating + Bowling Center
The Yerba Buena Ice Skating + Bowling Center features year round ice skating 7 days a week with public sessions, skating school, and youth/adult hockey. It also has a full service Pro Shop with cool gear and authentic skatewear. With 12 lanes and the Saturday dance club Ultra Bowl, the Bowling Center is great fun for small groups to Bowling Leagues.
SOMACC
South of Market Child Care | SOMACC is Yerba Buena Garden’s child development center that offers full-time infant and toddler care for children ages 3 months to 3 years and also Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool care for children ages 3 to 5 years.
