Yerba Buena Children’s Gardens new Tot Lot and Learning Garden opens Friday, August 3, 2018. This exciting new additon to YBG provides a fun, safe and creative play space for curious little ones in search of adventure.
A family-friendly celebration open to all
The opening of these family-friendly features—designed and built by the Moscone Expansion Project—will be celebrated with a performance by the Red Panda Acrobats and a release of ladybugs. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Festivities for the opening of downtown’s newest family amenities include:
- 10 a.m. | Tot Lot and Learning Garden open
- 10:30 a.m. | Ladybug release
- 11 a.m. | Red Panda Acrobats performance arranged by the Yerba Gardens Festival
A stimulating environment of imagination for tots
The new Tot Lot will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Tot Lot features play structures for pint size imaginations surrounded by the Learning Garden’s trees, flowers and lush landscaping. There are also ample places to sit and park strollers.
A schedule of activities at the Learning Garden will be in place soon and will be posted on this website.
All about kids, fun and families
The Tot Lot is adjacent to the Yerba Buena Garden’s Children’s Garden and Play Circle, where kids can fly down a 25-foot long tube slide, scale a kid-safe climbing wall and splash in stream and fountain. It’s located along Howard and Fourth streets on the rooftop of Moscone South in front of the Ice Rink and near the Children’s Creativity Museum.
