Children’s Garden Lighting Ceremony

The 2016 Children’s Garden Lighting Ceremony brings a festive, carnival atmosphere to the holiday season at Yerba Buena Gardens. So save the date and bring your friends and family to this shining annual ceremony.
Save the Date
It will take place on Saturday, November 26, 2016, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm throughout Yerba Buena Gardens.
Event activities will take place throughout Yerba Buena Gardens including:
- YBG Carousel Plaza
- LeRoy King Carousel
- Rooftop Forecourt
- Rooftop Amphitheatre
- Yerba Buena Ice Center
The program for the event will include speakers, musical performances, carnival games, face painting, game booths, stilt walkers, ice skating exhibitions and more. The Yerba Buena Ice Center | YBIC will also host a special set of ice skating performances as well as a free public ice skating session (skate rental fee not included) from 7:00 pm through 9:00 pm. And the Children’s Creativity Museum | CCM will be offering free carousel rides to all CCM Members.
The highlight of the event will be a formal presentation and lighting ceremony which begins at 5:30 pm at the YBG Carousel Plaza. Live music, featured speakers, and illuminating the holiday lights will mark the start of this very special holiday season at Yerba Buena Gardens.
